What is .NET platform?
Microsoft® .NET Framework is program platform (virtual machine) necessary for the functioning of the programs created for it. The given platform provides general set of components (independent from OS) for all the programs which leads to the crossplatformity (if the program does not use specific functions of the concrete OS) and identity of programs functioning (programs work identically with different supported operating systems, and that, in turn, leads to backward compatibility of the programs). Does .NET software use system resources efficiently?
The productivity of the .NET Framework platform software is often as high as the productivity of "ordinary" programs compiled into machine code. The transfer of virtual machine code into processor machine code is made by JIT compiler beforehand, so the first loading may be longer, but further the programs work faster.

"Increased" memory consumption is explained by the fact that the system reserves free memory to increase the speed but it can return it at any moment in case of lack.

Besides, the platform is constantly improved, and the productivity of .NET software is constantly increased, and in some cases .NET programs work faster than "ordinary" ones.

What is shareware software?
Shareware software is a software distributed according to the principle "try it before buying" usually via Internet. It means that first you download free "trial версию" of the program, check its functioning and if it is suitable for your needs, study the license, and after that you either pay for the registration or do not use the program. The work of the "trial версии" is usually limited by 30 days, besides, depending on product, it may have other restrictions, which will be removed after you register the software.

Why is it better not to use illegal software?
The software is considered to be illegal if it is distributed without the agreement with its developer. Besides, all the keys obtained not from EGERIA group or registration websites are considered to be illegal too.
